Koharig was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt of Armenian descent. She attended the Cairo-Zorian School
of Art for several years. She studied under Ashod Zorian, the world renowned artist residing in Cairo,
who studied with Braque and Picasso. Later she apprenticed under famed LaMartine in Montreal, Canada.
In 1968, Koharig's work was shown for the first time in America. She has owned and operated her own
galleries in New Jersey, San Francisco, Tiburon and now, Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. Her work is in
the possession of private collectors worldwide.
